What to expect:

Along with an uplifting flow-based practice that will offer a mix of challenge and slowing down, relaxing, and letting go, classes will cover themes such as cultural appreciation vs appropriation, body neutrality, body autonomy, intention and impact, and meditation and mindfulness. We will also discuss how we can relate these topics and more to the practice of yoga as a whole. . Trained and certified by Alex Mazerolle and Girlvana Yoga I believe in bringing yoga to teens in a real and approachable way, opening the hearts, bodies and minds though playful postures, raw dialogue and strong mentorship. In addition to asana practice, classes include discussion, journaling, crafting and other fun, meaningful, and thought provoking activities. It is my intention create a space for teens to open up, show up and rise up - to create a brave and open space for teens to discuss the silly and the serious and to take a moment to feel and reflect. My goal is to get teens into their bodies, find their unique voice, and develop an interest in yoga on and off the mat.
