What began as exclusively a physical practice continues to evolved and surprise me.

In 2014 I completed my 200hr certification with Christina Raskin and Oxygen Yoga and Fitness. I had no intention of teaching, but the power of yoga sparked a curiosity in me on how to bring students into the present moment. I began teaching immediately, searching for ways to honour the individuality of each human body while uniting them in their own true nature.

I have always continued as a student, even as a teacher, most recently completing my 500hr certification with Alexandria Crow, opening myself more to the power of yoga.

As a teacher, my intention is to use breath centered movement to anchor my students into the present moment and to open them up to the power of yoga, the power I see everyday through skill in action- the way we conduct ourselves, our self discovery, our discipline, our stillness, and our connection.

As child, what did you think you wanted to be?

A teacher - I did not think it would look quite like this but I love that a piece of me always new my purpose.

What do you think your phone wallpaper would tell us about you?

That I know that the universe has my back!

What fast food restaurant are you most likely to drive through? What’s would you order?

McDonalds - Coffeeeeeeeee :)

What is something you strongly dislike that most people love?

Ketchup - SO GROSS!

What do you think is your biggest weakness?

That I will put others needs before my own. I have a pattern of thinking the more I do for others, the more they will like me. Overworked? Overbooked? No sleep? Exhausted? That's okay say yes anyways because everyone will see how much I am doing and the more I do for others the more worthy I am....I am learning more each day the importance of loving myself first but it sure is easy to slip back into past patterning!

Has a stranger ever changed your life?

Sitting in an IV clinic a few years ago a lady across from me said, "The thing about chronic illness is it's always there, just under the surface. It's nothing and everything at the same time. Only you understand that. Only you know it's there. Only you can decide when to give it attention and only you can advocate for yourself...only you" This was a time in my life when I felt powerless. I felt weak. I was searching with doctor after doctor for the solution. She taught me that solution was already inside of me and that I had the power to shift my own reality.

Have you changed your mind about anything recently?

That having a plan feels the most comfortable. I use to love controlling every aspect of this human experience but started to see see that that is an illusion and there is so much beyond my control. I have shifted to believing that nothing is certain and have felt very comfortable and safe in embracing uncertainty.
